Dinah’s Coffee Chat 2/26/21

If we were having coffee….

Welcome back, my friend! I can’t believe we’re already back to our weekend coffee chat! This week just flew by for me! How about you? Did your week go quickly too?

Please help yourself to a cup of coffee and tell me about your week. I hope you found something to celebrate in the midst of everyday challenges! What were you grateful for this week?

I have been handling life’s details, like everyone else. And in between all the handling, I’ve been intentionally cultivating gratitude. This week our temps went back up into the 30’s with several days of bright sunshine. I’m grateful for the sun and for the relative warmth. And, as each week flies by, we’re that much closer to Spring. Thank goodness!

I’ve also been grateful for technology and for the connectivity that it affords us. I’ve been able to take a few online classes that I’ve enjoyed. But the bigger gift has been the friendships and connections made. I’ve met wonderful people that, without technology, I would have never known.

I know that Facebook has its pros and cons. But I’m even feeling grateful for Facebook lately. I’ve benefited so much from some of the groups I’m in….creativity groups, writing groups, support groups….I’ve heard about great books, documentaries, music…again, all thanks to technology!

Blogging and this coffee chat group….and the very fact that you’re reading this are all gifts of technology! Yay!

Gratitude can be its own rabbit hole! When you think of one or two things for which to be grateful, more and more things will trickle into your mind, amplifying your gratitude!

And you, my friend? Can you join me on this gratitude journey? I’d love to know what gratitude you’ve experienced this week.

Another gift of technology….I’ve just learned that my friend and fellow blogger and writer extraordinaire, Ra Avis will be doing a public reading this Saturday (2/27/21) night. If you need some inspiration, you can get more information about how to attend on her blog post https://rarasaur.com/2021/02/26/saturday-2-27-5pm-pst/

Thanks for stopping by and hanging out for a bit. I hope you have a restful weekend and a lovely week ahead.

I’m also grateful for the gift of your time! And I’m glad you’re here 💜

I hope you continue to enjoy your weekend and that the warmer weather continues. Funny though for us here in Australia 30 degrees and above is H O T to very H O T as it can be into 37-40s…because we measure temperature in celsius not your farenheit.

    Take care,

    1. Hello!
Yes…the temperature conversion thing….Well in early February, we had 2 weeks where the morning temps were -5F/-20C. So 30F/1C is a welcome change! And yes, I believe your 30’s are our 90’s…too hot!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend with some really good coffee 😍

  2. Gratitude is highly underrated. Living a life filled with gratitude is a rich, happy life. This week I’ve been very grateful for good health, high energy levels, sunshine, my colleagues, good conversations, a pay raise, my children and the joy of planting the first seeds for the season. Thank you for this positive, uplifting coffee share ❤

    1. Yes! Gratitude has become a constant companion for me! I can feel it shifting my perspective anytime I call upon it…and I’ve learned to call upon it daily!
I’m glad you have so many lovely things for which to be grateful! And congratulations on your raise! Wonderful!
Have a wonderful week my friend!💜

  3. I too am thankful for technology. My daughter and her family moved to Texas last august and I’m thankful for video calls with her and my grandson.

I too am thankful for Facebook and the connectivity it gives me with people from all over. It’s really all how we view things. Have a great week.
