“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other”
doesn’t make any sense.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.”—Rumi
This is one of my favorite Rumi quotes. It points to the connection between the physical world and the spiritual world. It reminds us that there’s so much more to life than what can be discussed with modern language.
Pay attention to the secrets carried by the morning breeze. Ask for what you want and then watch for the synchronicities as the Universe lines things up for you.
Rumi also says to ‘act as if everything is rigged in your favor!’
I’m glad you’re here 💜
Love that one. I just started a book on Fear by Rabbi Kushner and he starts his book with that one. I so love Rumi.
Hug and love, Les
