This will be a shorter post because, quite frankly, I didn’t manage my time very well today. The day kind of got away from me.
We ran errands this morning. And then I felt a bit wonky this afternoon. Advil helped after a couple of hours. So during that time (waiting for the Advil to work) I had a phone chat with a friend for a while.
And then my husband and I watched some TV….I’m currently addicted to a series on Acorn streaming service. It’s called
A Place To Call Home. We are just starting the sixth and final season. And I have to admit that I am really sad about that.
This show has become so near and dear to my heart. I would say that it’s as good as Downton Abbey was.
It takes place in the 1950s in Australia. The main character is trying to rebuild their life after World War II. The acting is stellar. The plot lines are intriguing. And most of the characters are incredibly endearing.
You know that feeling when you’re reading a really good book… You can’t put it down and you’re reading as quickly as you can, because you just have to know what’s going on… But then you realize that you’re almost done… 20 pages to go… And you slow your reading way down because you just don’t want the book to end. That’s where we’re at with this show… We love it and want to see what’s happening, but we also know that we’re very close to the end, and we certainly don’t want that!
If you have been missing really excellent television, since Downton Abbey ended… I highly recommend that you look into this show. You won’t regret it.
So I’m going to take myself off to bed now and try and get some good sleep. I hope to have the energy tomorrow to write a post about my dad. I thought it might be nice to tell a few stories about my family members… Tune in again tomorrow if you have time.
I’m glad you’re here!💜
