About

Welcome! I’m Dinah and I’m so glad you’re here. This is an ever evolving haven to gather, chat and explore the musings du jour. My thoughts are usually all over the place so that’ll probably be true here too.

Here’s the shorthand version of me:

*I grew up with a physical disability and then, because one disability isn’t enough, I developed a second disability…a nerve pain syndrome at age 35. So I now have first-hand experience with growing up with a disability and acquiring a disability. And I can tell you they are vastly different animals!

*My career was in vocational rehabilitation. I loved and learned so much from my clients.

*I’m a writer who rarely writes. I should probably carry some deep shame or self loathing about that, but I don’t.

*The best and brightest part of my life is and has been my husband…for more than 30 years!

*I’ve studied metaphysics, psychic development, meditation, many esoteric traditions and have landed the longest in shamanism.

*I’m an NPE (not parent expected or non parental event). A DNA test confirmed that my biological father was someone I never knew.

*I believe in life’s synchronicities and that there’s wisdom and deep meaning to be accessed within them.

*Pizza and/or chocolate can salvage almost any bad day.

*This is one of my favorite quotes. It’s from the movie The Princess Diaries…..

“courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear. The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all. From now on, you’ll be traveling the road between who you think you are and who you can be. The key is to allow yourself to make the journey.”

So….let’s talk….
