Hello and thanks for stopping by. These virtual coffee chats are a nice way to check in.
How are you? If you’re in the US, are you planning to do anything for Thanksgiving next week? Holidays can be such a mixed bag of emotions and expectations. I can say that, for me, the holiday that I envision in my head is never the holiday that manifests in real life. I tend to envision something close to a Hallmark movie. But we end up with something more like the sitcom Mike and Molly…..and it always ends up being just fine.
If you’re doing the family thing and/or the in-law thing, I would invite you to check out my recent post which will give you the tools to play Dysfunctional Family Bingo developed by author Martha Beck. It could make for some fun and laughter….for you anyway.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that we’re doing Thanksgiving with some dear friends. I’m really looking forward to it. And I rarely say that about the holidays. I actually hope that this is the start of a new tradition for us.
Whatever you’re doing, I hope that you take good care of yourself. If you’re flying solo please do something special for yourself. Eat food that you love. Listen to the music that feeds your soul. And get good rest. You matter!
I’m glad you’re here 💜

Thanksgiving is one of my favourite holidays. I should tell my family we are going to celebrate on the Canadian and American dates.
How is Nanopoblano going Dinah?

Hi Shari
Thanks for stopping by. I didn’t realize that you were in Canada. I think it’s a great idea to celebrate Thanksgiving on both dates! Celebration is always a good idea!
This month’s blogging challenge has been tougher for some reason this year. Not sure why… I think my heart just isn’t in it this year… One more week to go!
Have a lovely weekend, my friend!

I totally know what you mean about what we have in our minds and what actually takes place. I think I’ve gotten much better at it though.
