I haven’t felt much like writing lately. But I couldn’t let today go by without a shout out and a celebration post for my friend Ra Avis. Today marks the 10 year anniversary of her blog. And that’s huge!

If you haven’t taken the time to read her blog, you absolutely need to. She and her writing are a force of nature! Ra’s writing is elegant and magical. Her wordsmithing is masterful. She writes the way a master painter paints. Her word choice and phrasing draw you in and make you think in ways you probably never have before. I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again. Ra and her writing are grace personified.

The other thing that you need to know about Ra is that she is immensely kind and gracious. This blog would not exist were it not for her kindness. She set it up for me when I couldn’t even figure out where to begin. She encouraged me to join some blogging groups. She is the glue that holds together the Cheer Peppers community.

Ra has made the world a bit more gentle even when life was less than gentle with her. She has shared love with all who reach out to her. And she has maintained a beautiful presence while navigating some pretty significant challenges.

I’m eternally grateful for her blog/writing, her friendship and for the gorgeous observations that she shares so openly with all of us.

Ra, you are a gift in a weary world. And I’m so, so glad you’re here 💜
