Today is an auspicious day. Today is the anniversary of the day that the world was gifted with this kind and generous Soul. And he is indeed a gift to all who are fortunate enough to know him.
This last year has been unbelievably rough. I’ve said many times that this year has been a slow walk through hell for him because of chronic pain and a botched surgery. Don has walked the hero’s path with grace and dignity.
He is brilliant. And part of his genius is that he is able to anticipate many things before they even happen. His preventative skills equal his ability to fix things.
He’s talented. Our home is lovely because of him. He has far better visual/spatial skills than I. He can envision how things will look and can work toward that goal.
He is motivated. Even with chronic unmitigated pain, he keeps our lives running smoothly. And he keeps working toward better pain management options with so much grace!
He is generous. Nobody goes without on his watch. He will give without reservation. He will provide without expectation.
He is kind. He has been able to maintain an open heart despite surviving cruelty. He treats everyone like family.
And I’m immensely blessed to walk through this life with him. He has been my husband, my best friend, my teacher, my travel companion, my partner in ….EVERYTHING!
Through all the ups and downs that life has thrown at him, he has remained the best human being that I’ve ever known.
Happy Birthday Don. You truly deserve the very best that life has to offer. I love you!
I’m glad you’re here 💜

Thank you! You’re absolutely right. We both had difficult childhoods. But we both feel like our relationship makes up for all the hard stuff. We feel lucky to have each other. Thanks for your kind wishes. 💜
