Shifting-Day 9/30

Yesterday I wrote about needing to sort things, release things, send things back out into circulation, rather than keeping them in boxes and closets and drawers.….

It made me aware that holding on is ultimately about fear… Fear of not enough, fear of not being ready, or prepared, fear of not being able to meet every expectation as soon as it arises…

My friend Ra Avis just wrote about 1° changes… I encourage you to read the above post on her blog. The paragraph about drift makes so much sense!

I’m generally and genuinely a “glass, half full kind of person.“ I can usually see the good in almost every person, and in almost every situation. So it surprises me to look within and see that I have habits that are based in fear and scarcity…

Consequently… As we begin our sorting and purging… I’m going to try something. With each thing that I put in the giveaway pile, I’m going to repeat, either out loud or in my head that I’m releasing this because there’s always more than enough… More than enough stuff, more than enough love, more than enough light… More than enough of everything! So I don’t need to hold onto things for “just in case.” I can trust that whatever I need will come to me at the perfect time and in the perfect way. Perhaps… If I repeat this, each time I release a shirt, a spatula, a muffin tin… By the time we’re done, my psyche might actually believe that there’s always enough. Wouldn’t that be lovely?

Little 1° changes can ultimately lead to very big shifts… I’m counting on that. I’m ready for big shifts.

I’m glad you’re here💜
