I remember when I was young,
I was thrilled by every single morning.
I always woke up, excited and hungry!
I would get out of bed and go from one family member to another, trying to wake them… at whatever ungodly hour it was.
No one shared my enthusiasm or my need for food!
They couldn’t understand.
Breakfast was exciting!
And morning cartoons, simply could not be missed!
How could anyone not know this?
I was the youngest and the smallest in the family. I couldn’t reach any of the breakfast essentials.
It took many pained mornings
Many threats by family members to leave them alone and let them sleep!
Until one day, one of them, finally really woke up.
They put the cereal and the bowl and the spoon on the table in the evening… Such a revelation!
The next morning was even more exciting… I could make my own breakfast….
Freedom! Independence!
How thrilling!
And remembering all of this makes me want to work at greeting every morning with that same raw enthusiasm….
I’m glad you’re here💜p
