November is, of course, blogging month. So I felt like maybe it was time to return again to the blog and try to breathe some life back into it. I am once again part of the Nanopoblano blogging community. I won’t be doing the 30 posts in 30 days as I have in the last few years. Instead, I’ll be doing the posting three times per week challenge. The 30/30 just didn’t feel possible this year.
It’s been almost a year since I have written anything in this blog. My last blog post was about my friend Mary’s sudden and unexpected passing. I will probably write more about that in the days to come. Now just isn’t the right time.
For right now, I just wanted to acknowledge that I’m aware that many of us are feeling depleted. We’re living through some rough times and I think we all have to acknowledge our own exhaustion and do what we can to take care of ourselves. I also think that we need to work to give grace and hold space for each other. We’re all in this together.… That’s not just an expression. It’s the truth.
Besides being blogging month, and writing month, maybe we could all choose to make November our own personal kindness month. What could we do to be kind to ourselves? And what could we do to pay kindness forward?
Perhaps that’s a good place to end for today… let’s all think about all the different ways that we can be kind… I hope you’ll join me…
And before you go… Here is a list of all of my other blogging buddies for the month of November. I hope that you’ll check them out. Reading and commenting really help over this next month.
I’m glad you’re here 💜

Yes, it is definitely some trying times – and you can say depletion again one more time! But taking on writing challenges forces us into action, and anything that keeps the spirit and the will active right now is revolutionary. Keep up the spirit!

Thank you for this lovely post! Those are great questions – we all need a little more kindness in our lives. I’m not sure if this counts, but I enjoy filling up the little free libraries when they are low on books. 🙂
P.S. I appreciate the shout-out to the Cheer Peppers – indeed, kind words and support go a long way, especially for those of us reviving our blogs!

Hello Dinah! Glad to see you back and blogging again, and looking forward to reading all your November posts. Yes it’s difficult this year more than ever i think – but I am back too and keen to join all of you Cheerpeppers! Your question at the end is so important, we do need to be kinder to ourselves and we need to be kinder to others in the midst of all the horror that’s been going on in the world this year especially.
